UPDATE: Collision/Traffic Restrictions - Traffic Bridge

The Collision Analyst Unit have completed their on scene investigation and traffic is now flowing normally on the Traffic Bridge. The Saskatoon Police Service want to thank motorists for their patience during this matter. 

A Saskatoon man is facing impaired driving charges following a collision this afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., Saskatoon Police, along with Medavie Health Services and the Saskatoon Fire Department, responded to a two-vehicle, head-on collision on the Traffic Bridge. Two men, ages 57 and 63, were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The 26 year old male driver and lone occupant of the second vehicle was arrested for an impaired driving investigation. His injuries are unknown, but are believed to be minor at this time.


The 26 year old Saskatoon man is charged with Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm (x2) and Driving while having a Blood Alcohol Level Over .08 Causing Bodily Harm (x2).

The Traffic Bridge remains closed as members of the Collision Analyst Unit continue the investigation. An update will be provided when the bridge is reopened.

The Saskatoon Police along with Medavie Health Services are currently attending to a two-vehicle collision on the Traffic Bridge. The cause of the collision and injuries are unknown at this time. The bridge will be closed to both directions of traffic until the scene is cleared. An update will be provided at that time.
