At approximately 8:45 am, a 28 year old male took off on a pedal bike from the SPS Bike Patrol officers after having been stopped in violation of a bylaw offence near Avenue C and 24th Street. The pursuit ended in the 200 block of Avenue F south after the suspect fled into a residential back yard and proceeded to further break into the residence. The homeowner was at home at the time and not injured. The male suspect is being charged with obstruction, possession of three (3) Controlled Drug and Substances, and breach of his Undertaking and Probation orders. He also received a ticket for riding a bike on the sidewalk.
