: Grow Operations Busted

Five people are in custody following two drug busts that occurred in Saskatoon and in the RM of Corman Park resulting in the seizure of 1073 marijuana plants.
Members of the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Unit and Saskatoon Police Service patrol searched a home in the 3200 block of Massey Drive about 5:30 yesterday afternoon and found a marijuana grow operation inside. Two men, ages 42 and 52, were arrested at the location. They are facing charges of Production of Marijuana, and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
As part of the same investigation, a home one mile north of Martensville, was searched just before 2:00 a.m. Members of the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Unit with assistance from surrounding RCMP detachments found another marijuana grow operation at the home. Three people were arrested. The 26 year old male homeowner is charged with Production of Marijuana, and with Theft of Power. A 50 year old male and 38 year old female, both from Calgary, are facing charges of Production of Marijuana.
All five people are in police custody and will appear before a Justice of the Peace later this afternoon.
