Three Cougar Sightings

The Saskatoon Police Service is advising the public to use caution when near the riverbank area.
Two more cougar sightings have been reported since the initial sighting on Tuesday, June 19th on a trail near the river.
Just before 2:00 a.m. Friday, June 22nd police received a report of a sighting in the 1300 block of Avenue K South. The caller reported seeing the cougar moving eastbound through a nearby park toward Spadina Crescent. A member of the Saskatoon Police Service on motorcycle patrol also spotted the cat at roughly the same time. Additional officers were called to the scene but they were unable to locate the animal.
Earlier a second sighting was reported to have occurred on Tuesday, June 19th about 9:30 p.m. A jogger encountered a cougar as it crossed underneath the Broadway Bridge into Cosmo Park.
Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management have been notified of all three sightings.
