Interprovincial Canine Training

Released on July 18, 2007

Members of the Saskatoon Police and Edmonton Police Service Canine Units are working together as part of an interprovincial training initiative this week.

Five Edmonton handlers and their dogs are working with five teams from Saskatoon until Friday, in an effort to share training techniques and ideas. The Saskatoon Unit has also trained in the past with Regina and the RCMP Canine Units.

The media is invited to attend this training Friday, July 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the Canine Unit agility area at Avenue P and 31st Street.
