Saskatoon Police responded to a four vehicle collision on the Sid Buckwold Bridge that occurred at 1545 hours July 28th, 2007. A vehicle in the left, northbound lane had stopped as a result of vehicle problems. A second vehicle had stopped behind the first one when a third vehicle drove into the back of the second vehicle causing it to hit the first vehicle. A short time later another vehicle drove into the rear of the 3rd vehicle causing the vehicles to collide again.
None of the occupants were sent to the hospital as only minor injuries were involved. Four tow trucks were required to remove the vehicles from the scene.
This collision is being further investigated to ascertain if charges are to be laid.
Police wish to remind motorists to pull to the right shoulder of the road if they are experiencing vehicle problems and put the four way flashers on.
