A 21year old Saskatoon man is recovering in hospital after being struck in the head with a hatchet.
Police were called to a drinking establishment on the 100 block of Ruth Street at around 12:30 this morning after a man was struck in the head by another male wielding a hatchet. The victim was located by police a couple of blocks away from the incident and was later transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Police searched the area for the suspects who had fled on foot. A number of witnesses were interviewed by police and the investigation is continuing.
It is believed the victim knew his attackers and robbery might have been the motive.
The victims suffered a a nasty wound to his head however the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
