The Saskatoon Police Service is asking the public to enjoy upcoming Canada Day celebrations in a safe and responsible manner.
As in previous years the Service is putting plans in place to ensure safety during the festivities at Diefenbaker Park. The Public Safety Unit will be deployed to help deal with crowd management. Members of the Traffic Section will be on hand to help direct the flow of traffic in and out of the park. In addition, the Community Response Unit (Bike Patrol) and the Air Support Unit will be providing assistance on the ground and in the air.
Saskatoon Police are also requesting the public avoid stopping or parking on busy roadways to watch the Canada Day fireworks and to remember that pedestrian traffic will not be allowed on the CN Rail Bridge.
