The scene of the collision on Highway 12, north of 71st Street has been cleared.

At approximately 7:40 a.m., October 5, 2017, Police were called to a collision between a small car and a semi truck. Both vehicles were south-bound on Highway 12. Before they reached 71st Street, the semi driver attempted to change lanes but did not see the small black car beside him. The front end of the semi struck the back end of the car, causing the car to spin off the road and into the ditch.

The driver of the car, a 22 year old female, was the lone occupant of the vehicle. SPS, the Saskatoon Fire Department and MD Ambulance all responded to the collision. The vehicle occupants were medically assessed and release at the scene, as no injuries were sustained.

Traffic was restricted to one lane during the collision, but all lanes have been re-opened as the scene is clear.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience during the investigation.
