UPDATE: Trafficking Charges/Collision - 22nd St. W & Witney Ave.

Three people are facing drug trafficking charges following a single-vehicle collision that occurred January 10, 2018.

When Police arrived at the scene of the crash Wednesday morning, they found the occupants of the vehicle to be in possession of marihuana packaged in individual baggies, along with more than $29,000 Canadian cash and a small amount of American cash. All three people were arrested without incident.

A 19 year old man, a 26 year old woman and a 45 year old man are all facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking marihuana and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime.

Traffic lights are being repaired at the intersection of 22nd Street West and Witney Avenue following a collision this morning.

At approximately 8:00 a.m., January 10, 2018, officers responded to a report of an SUV that had collided with a traffic light in the intersection. MD Ambulance attended to the scene. Injuries are unknown at this time but none of the three occupants were taken to hospital. Drivers are asked to avoid the area as City crews work to repair the traffic lights. The intersection is currently operating as a four-way stop.

Police are continuing to investigate. An update will be released when traffic restrictions are lifted.
