Two people are in custody after refusing to stop for Police last night.
On January 18, 2018, at 5:25 p.m., a man saw his stolen pick-up truck parked on the 1200 block of Central Avenue with two men inside.
When Police arrived they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver fled the scene. As the driver accelerated, a passenger exited the vehicle. He was quickly arrested.
The suspect was driving erratically before a tire deflation device was successfully deployed. He abandoned the truck near O’Neil Crescent and attempted to flee on foot. He was quickly located and arrested by officers with the assistance of the Air Support Unit.
The 32 year old driver has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Evade Police and Breach of Court Order.
The 36 year old passenger has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Breach of Court Order and Impersonation.
