Saskatoon Police are investigating an early morning assault involving a machete.
On June 22, 2018, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Police responded to a report of an injured male in the 2000 block of 20th Street West. Upon arrival they found a 33 year old male who appeared to have been stabbed. He was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
It was determined that he had been attacked in the 200 block of Avenue V South by a male with a machete. Police checked the area for the suspect, but he was not located.
It is not known whether the suspect and victim knew each other.
This incident remains under investigation.
