Five employees were each issued three tickets in accordance to the Cannabis Control (SK) Act. They were not taken into custody, contrary to what was previously stated.
Earlier this afternoon, the Saskatoon Police Service VICE Unit executed a search warrant at an unlicensed cannabis outlet in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue North as a result of an investigation into the sale of illicit and unregulated cannabis and cannabis-related products.
Assisted by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team and Patrol, Officers seized dry cannabis, cannabis oils, edibles and concentrates. An exact amount has not been determined at this time. Police also seized cash and other evidence.
Five employees have been taken into custody and are facing charges under the Cannabis Control (SK) Act.
