Armed Robbery - 100 Block 33rd St. W

Members of the SPS General Investigations Section have arrested a 33 year old man in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at a bar in the 100 block of 33rd Street West on April 1, 2019.  The man was taken into custody at approximately 10:30 p.m. yesterday at an apartment building in the 800 block of Confederation Drive.  

He is now facing a charge of robbery.  Police are still trying to locate a second male suspect, believed to be involved in the same incident.


Saskatoon Police are searching for a man believed to be responsible for an armed robbery yesterday.

At approximately 6:40 p.m., April 1, 2019, Patrol members were dispatched to a bar in the 100 block of 33rd Street West for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers located the 56 year old male victim, who was unharmed. He told Police that he had a conversation with the male suspect while playing VLT’s. The armed robbery reportedly occurred later, while in the bathroom. The victim told Police the suspect approached him from behind and threatened the victim with a knife before taking his wallet. The suspect reportedly left the bar and fled in a northerly direction.

The male suspect is described as being approximately 28 years old and was wearing all black pants, jacket and a hat at the time of the robbery.
