On April 8, 2019 a 15 year old girl reported to Police that she had been assaulted and an attempted abduction had occurred in the 3200 block of Milton Street. She reported that the suspect involved was an adult male who was driving a white Dodge Ram truck with an Alberta license plate. An extensive investigation by members of the SPS Targeted Enforcement Unit followed and has determined that the information reported was false. Investigators spoke to independent witnesses and have obtained video evidence that supports their findings. They have also determined that at no time, was there any risk to public safety.
Saskatoon Police are searching for a male suspect in connection to a reported assault yesterday.
At 5:30 p.m., on April 8, 2019, a 15 year old girl attended the SPS Service Centre to report an assault against her that had just occurred. She told Police that she was approached by a man driving a white Dodge truck as she was walking in an alley in the 3200 block of Milton Street. The man reportedly offered the girl a ride but she declined. She told officers the man then got out of his truck, struck her twice and attempted to force her into the vehicle before she hit him with her skateboard and fled. She says she witnessed the man speed off in his truck. The female victim was suffering from minor injuries and was assessed by a paramedic from SPS Detention at the time of the report.
The male suspect is described as approximately 50 years old, with grey hair and a grey/white mustache with stubble. He has a medium build and is approximately 6’ tall. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a black jacket and black pants. The suspect vehicle is described as a white 2016 Dodge Ram truck with an Alberta licence plate.
