Stabbing - 1000 Block Of Idylwyld Dr. N

Detectives with the Targeted Enforcement Section have identified a 23-year-old Saskatoon man responsible for a stabbing that took place on April 11, 2019. The suspect was arrested on May 23 and charged with Aggravated Assault. He is expected to appear in Provincial Court this morning. (Court Info #991088302).

The Saskatoon Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the 1000 block of Idylwyld Drive North overnight.

On April 11, 2019, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Idylwyld Drive North for a report of a 27 year old male that had been stabbed.

The victim had attempted to break-up a physical altercation between two other people. The suspect male who was involved in the initial altercation turned his attention to the victim and stabbed him multiple times. It is believed that the victim and suspect where unknown to each other.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect male is described as being male in his 20’s, with a long braid, and slim build. He was wearing a black sweater.
