Arrests - Drug Trafficking Investigation - 2600 Block 33rd Street West

Two men are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST).

At approximately 7:00 p.m., April 17, 2019, three men were arrested from a traffic stop in the 2600 block of 33rd Street West after they were observed participating in activity consistent with drug trafficking.

A 22-year-old man was found in possession of $1,050 cash and 48.8 grams of suspected cocaine packaged for distribution. A 25-year-old man was found in possession of over $4,600 in cash, 44.1 grams of suspected cocaine, an electronic scale and four cell phones.

Both men are facing charges of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000. Further investigation found that the 22-year-old was also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

The third man arrested from the traffic stop was released without charges.

SIDEST is comprised of members from the SPS and RCMP F Division.
