A Saskatoon woman was taken to hospital yesterday after colliding with an SUV while she was riding her bicycle.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., April 29, 2019, Saskatoon Police were dispatched to the collision in the 1500 block of 8th Street East. Officers found that the cyclist was traveling northbound on Cumberland Avenue when she struck an SUV that had entered the intersection from a parking lot. The 21 year old female victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The scene was cleared at approximately 5:00 p.m.
A 67 year old male driver was charged with Failing to Yield to an Approaching Vehicle When Turning Left.
Saskatoon Police are on scene in the 1500 block of 8th Street at Cumberland Avenue following a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist.
Motorists are being asked to avoid that area.
An update will be provided once the scene is clear.
