CFSEU Investigation Into Cocaine Trafficking/Arrests

Members of the Saskatoon Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), with the assistance of the SPS Tactical Support Unit, SPS Guns and Gangs Unit, SPS Canine Unit and SPS Technological Crimes Unit, have completed an investigation into cocaine trafficking in Saskatoon.

On May 4, 2019, a 24 year old Edmonton man was arrested in Saskatoon for cocaine trafficking offences. Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at a hotel suite in the 600 block of 25th Street East, where a 26 year old Edmonton man was also taken into custody. Seizures included over 11 ounces of cocaine packaged for distribution, over $38,000 cash and items consistent with packaging and processing cocaine.

The two men have been charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000.

CFSEU is funded by the Government of Saskatchewan through the Ministry of Justice, Corrections and Policing. CFSEU is an investigative body comprised of personnel from partner agencies from the Saskatoon Police Service, Prince Albert Police Service, Regina Police Service and The RCMP ‘F’ Division. The mandate of CFSEU is to expose, investigate, disrupt, dismantle and prosecute organized crime enterprises.
