A Saskatoon man is being treated in hospital following an incident in which emergency responders were called to the South Saskatchewan River.

At approximately 8:10 p.m. Saskatoon Police were called to the University bridge where witnesses reported seeing a man jump into the river. Members of the Saskatoon Fire Department were able to locate the man in the water and pull him to safety. He was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services for a medical assessment.
