Arrest - Evade Police - 20th Street West And Avenue N South

An 18-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges after he evaded Police early this morning.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., May 29, 2019, a canine officer on Patrol observed a black Ford Expedition confirmed to be stolen, travelling in the area of 20th Street West and Avenue N South. Upon being observed by Police, the suspect vehicle evaded Police at a high rate of speed. The Air Support Unit was able to locate and maintain a visual on the vehicle. The ASU observed the vehicle crash into a garage in the back alley on Palmer Crescent. He was seen fleeing into a backyard where he was arrested without further incident.

A second suspect fled from the stolen vehicle but has not yet been located.

The 18-year-old is facing charges of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Possession of Methamphetamine, Dangerous Driving, Evade Police and Breach of Probation. He will appear in Provincial Court this afternoon.
