A 15 year old male was arrested last night after attempting to evade Police.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., May 29, 2019, Patrol members were dispatched to the 100 block of Wiggins Road. The University of Saskatchewan Campus Security had apprehended a male who was in possession of a stolen bicycle. The suspect fled on foot while still handcuffed and a lengthy foot chase ensued. At one point, the suspect swam across the river. He was apprehended at 20th Street East and 4th Avenue South. As he was being taken into custody, the suspect assaulted two officers. It is believed he was under the influence of drugs.

The 15 year old male is charged with Escape Lawful Custody, Resisting Arrest (x2) and Possession of Stolen Property.
