At 10:30 a.m. this morning the Saskatoon Police Service received a call of a male assaulting a female on the front lawn of a residence at Gladmer Park residence. When police arrived they located a male who was actively engaged in assaulting his girlfriend and trying to drag her into a nearby residence.

The male refused to obey police commands and began fighting the lone officer on scene. While the scuffle was going on, the male attempted to grab a weapon and the lone officer deployed the CEW. This deployment of the Conducted Energy Weapon was successful and the male was taken into custody. The 27 year old is now facing assault charges and will be going to court tomorrow morning.
