On June 26, 2019, at approximately 11:40 p.m., police received a report of a possible impaired driver in the 100 block of Wedge Road.

With the assistance of the Air Support Unit, officers located a Ford Taurus which had been involved in a collision with a parked and unoccupied Hyundai Santa Fe on Wedge Road.

The driver and lone occupant of the Ford Taurus, a 23 year old female, appeared to be suffering from an overdose and responding officers administered several doses of Narcan. Fire and Medavie also attended and assisted in reviving the female. She was transported to hospital for observation.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
