Saskatoon Police will be present at Canada Day celebrations to help ensure a safe and enjoyable time for everyone.

Traffic restrictions will be in place in the area of Diefenbaker Park during the celebration, and in particular, after the fireworks end. It is recommended that the public arrive at least one hour before the scheduled start time of the fireworks. After the fireworks begin there will no longer be access into the park.

Following the conclusion of the fireworks motorists can expect significant delays when exiting the park and surrounding area. In order to minimize wait times when leaving, Police will be directing vehicle traffic to exit in specific directions. Motorists’ cooperation is appreciated.

Motorists are also reminded to avoid stopping or parking on busy roadways and/or bridges to watch the fireworks.
