At approximately 5:10 p.m. on January 13, 2022, Police attempted to arrest a 19 year old male on a Mental Health Act Warrant. During the arrest the male assaulted officers by actively resisting arrest. A CEW was deployed and he was taken into custody without further incident. The male was transported to the hospital on the strength of the warrant.

The incident will be reviewed in accordance with SPS policy.
