Police Presence/Traffic Restrictions - Barr Pl

A 35 year old man is facing a charge following an investigation at a residence in the 20 block of Barr Place over the weekend.

Patrol officers, along with members of the Serious Assault Unit, Guns and Gangs, the Special Investigation Unit, the Crime Reduction Team and the Tactical Support Unit responded to the home at approximately 6:00 p.m., November 26, 2022, in an attempt to locate the man.  It was believed there may be firearms inside the residence.  Officers were able to convince the male to exit the house without incident.  

The man was found to be unlawfully at large.  

Inside the home police located a handgun, ammunition, a ballistic vest and seven grams of methamphetamine.

The investigation is continuing.

 Barr Pl has now been reopened to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Police wish to thank members of the public for their accomodation of the closure.

Saskatoon Police Service is currently conducting an investigation at a residence on Barr Pl.

Police are asking members of the public to avoid the area until further notice.

There is no danger to the general public at this time.

An update will be provided when restrictions are lifted.
