Arrest - Evade Police - 33rd Street And Quebec Avenue

A man is facing charges after he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to evade police last night.

Shortly after 11:00 p.m., February 14, 2022, a Canine officer observed a vehicle they believed may be stolen in the area of 33rd Street and Quebec Avenue. When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle proceeded illegally through a red light, it was struck by another vehicle.

Upon his arrest, the 42-year-old was found to be in possession of several knives, crystal methamphetamine, hydromorphone, and several false identity documents. The vehicle he was driving was also confirmed to have been stolen.

The man is charged with Evade Police, Dangerous Driving, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and Hydromorphone, Possession of False Identity Documents (x3), and Identity Theft. (Court Info # 991187961)
