Continued investigation confirmed the package to be non-suspicious. Residents are permitted to return to their units and the direction to shelter in place for those not evacuated has been lifted. Police have since cleared the area.
The Saskatoon Police Service is responding to a report of a suspicious package at a multi-unit residential complex in the 400 block of 115th Street East. Members of the Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU) have been deployed.
Residents in the immediate area are being evacuated by police or told to shelter in place with their doors and windows closed. Restrictions exist within the complex; however, traffic on 115th Street East is not affected at this time.
An update will be provided upon new information becoming known.
