Arrest - Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit Investigation - Regina

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Regina man with possession of child pornography offences. Members of the ICE Unit began an investigation into child pornography in January 2023 and on February 22, 2023, executed a search warrant at a home in Regina.

Electronic devices were seized and, as a result of the police investigation, 44-year-old Todd Harder was charged on April 27, 2023 with:

  • Possession of Child Pornography 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code
  • Making Available Child Pornography 163.1(3) of the Criminal Code
  • Make an arrangement to commit sexual offence against a child 172.2 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code

He was released from custody on numerous conditions until his next court appearance on June 7, 2023 at Regina Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
