Train Collision-Traffic Restrictions Lifted

One woman was taken to hospital following a collision between a train and a pedestrian this morning.

At around 6:00 a.m. today, August 31, 2023, police were called to the area of 25th Street East and Idylwyld Drive for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a train. The 31-year-old woman was transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic restrictions that were in place for the duration of the investigation have since been removed. Police thank members of the motoring public for their accommodation of the closure.

Traffic restrictions related to the train collision at 25th Street and Idylwyld Drive North have been lifted. The Saskatoon Police Service thanks the public for their cooperation.

The Saskatoon Police Service and other emergency crews are currently at the scene of a collision between a train and a pedestrian.  Until further notice please avoid the area of 25th Street and Idylwyld Drive North as traffic restrictions are in place.
