Arrest - Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit Investigation - North Battleford

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a North Battleford man with possession of child pornography offences. Members of the ICE Unit began an investigation into child pornography in July 2023 and on October 5th, 2023, executed a search warrant at a home in North Battleford.

Electronic devices were seized, and as a result of the police investigation, 26-year-old Mark Dakota Mosquito, was charged on December 9th, 2023. He has been charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Mosquito appeared in court and was released on conditions with his next court date of Monday, January 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in North Battleford, SK.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
