On December 20, 2023, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit concluded an investigation into a 25-year-old woman and 29-year-old man, both from Saskatoon. Following their arrests by members of Patrol on December 19, 2023, a search warrant was executed at an address in the 500 block of Avenue I South; during which, a loaded .22 calibre sawed-off firearm, various rounds of ammunition, and a high-capacity magazine were seized.
Both the man and woman now face several additional weapons-related charges.

Two people are facing drug trafficking and weapons-related charges following a call to Police, yesterday.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. on December 19, 2023, Patrol officers were dispatched to an alley in the 1500 block of 20th Street West for a weapons call. Upon arrival, Police observed two individuals, who were reported to be in possession of a firearm, attempting to leave the area in a cab. They were arrested without incident. In their possession, Police located a modified and loaded firearm, prepackaged Fentanyl, multiple containers of pills, a can of bear spray, various cell phones and over $3000 CAD. Other items consistent with drug trafficking were also located.
A 25-year-old woman and 29-year-old man, both from Saskatoon, are each charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, trafficking Xanax, trafficking hydromorphone, possession of cocaine, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5000 along with four firearms-related offences. The 25-year-old is also charged with breaching her probation.
