Arrests - Drug Trafficking Investigation - Drugs, Weapons, Cash Seized

Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team have concluded a drug trafficking investigation with the arrests of two men.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m. on May 2, 2025, members of the Crime Reduction Team, with assistance from the Tactical Support and Guns and Gangs Units, effected the arrest of a 39-year-old man at a business in the 2100 block of 8th Street East; a search of his person located cash, cocaine, and a knife. He was also wanted Canada-wide for breach of statutory release and several criminal code warrants.

Later, at around 6:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Phelps Way and Tweed Lane where they arrested an 18-year-old male and two youth females; the male was found to be in possession of cash, cocaine, and a knife. Both females were later released to an adult without charges.

Following these arrests, officers executed search warrants at residences on Stoney Ridge Crescent in the RM of Aberdeen, SK and in the 100 block of Phelps Way, as well as at a business in the 300 block of 103rd Street West.

As a result of this investigation, police seized;

  • 4200 hydromorphone 8 mg tablets
  • 7810.7 grams of powdered cocaine
  • $428,795 CAD
  • CO2 pellet pistols (x2)
  • Knife
  • Machete
  • 9mm ammunition
  • Cellular devices

Both men have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, and various weapons-related offences.
