A youth male was arrested after a stolen vehicle evaded police on the weekend.
Shortly after 8:00 a.m. on December 6, 2025, police received a report of a vehicle that had just been stolen from the 400 block of Labine Crescent. As officers were responding, police received several reports of hit and runs involving a vehicle with a similar description to the one that was recently stolen. Officers located the vehicle driving in the area of 22nd Street West and Neault Road; however, when a traffic stop was attempted, the vehicle evaded at a high rate of speed. Officers immediately disengaged from the evade police incident. A short time later, the vehicle was located by members of the Corman Park Police Service in a restaurant parking lot near 39th Street West and Idylwyld Drive North. Further investigation found the driver to be inside the restaurant; he was arrested without further incident.
As a result, a 17-year-old male has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, hit and run (x2), evading police, theft of a vehicle, and obstruction.
