A 49 year old man was transported to hospital for treatment early this morning following an assault and robbery.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., December 30, 2025, Police were called to a mall parking lot in the 3300 block of 8th Street East. The man reported that he had met three people, a man and two women, in the 1300 block of 8th Street East and had provided them with a ride to the mall parking lot. Upon arrival the male was pulled from his vehicle by one of the suspects and was injured as he tried to hold on to the door. The suspects then fled the scene in his vehicle. It is reported to be a 1999 Toyota Tercel, green in colour with teal rims. The victim suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The male suspect is described as approximately 35 years old, wearing a blue sweater or jacket with a hood. One female is described as approximately 35 years of age, wearing a white top and black leggings. There is no description available for the second female suspect.
