Three people were arrested following the recovery of a stolen vehicle this morning.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m. on February 27, 2026, officers patrolling in the 800 block of 22nd Street West located a vehicle that had been reported as stolen parked at a gas station with two occupants inside. As additional officers arrived to the area, the vehicle was surrounded and verbal commands were issued to the occupants; however, they refused to comply. A less-lethal weapon was used to break the vehicle’s windows, allowing officers better visibility inside. Following the less-lethal weapon being used, one of the occupants exited the vehicle and was arrested without incident. The second occupant exited the vehicle a short time later; however, continued to be non-compliant with commands. The less-lethal weapon was again used to gain compliance from the occupant; he was arrested without further incident. A third suspect was arrested from within the gas station without incident.
Police are continuing to investigate and charges against the two men, age 28 and 35, and a 30-year-old woman are pending.
