The Saskatoon Police Service advises that City of Sasktoon Engineers have assessed the damage and one east bound lane on Circle Drive and one north bound lane of Highway 11 have been opened up for traffic to proceed.
The Saskatoon Police Service Collsion Analyst Unit in cooperation with the Saskatchewan Highway Patrol are investigating the collision. No injuries were reported.
Traffic flow restrictions will remain until further notice. Motorists are asked to take alternate routes or expect delays in the area.
The Saskatoon Police Service advise that a semi with trailer carrying a piece of equipment in north bound lane of Highway 11 from Regina entering the city limits at the Circle Dr overpass was too high for the structure and caused significant damage.
Highway 11 north bound lanes into the city limits and Circle Drive east bound lanes over the bridge will be closed until Engineers from the City of Saskatoon assess the damage and determine if it is safe for travel.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes until further notice.
