One man was arrested following the conclusion of a firearms investigation by the Guns and Gangs Unit.
On March 6, 2026, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit and National Weapons Enforcement Support Team, initiated enforcement action in a firearms investigation with the execution of a search warrant at an address in the 2300 block of William Avenue. During which, a 36-year-old man was arrested and the following evidentiary seizures were made;
- Rock Island M1911 A1FS .45 calibre handgun
- Glock 9mm handgun
- 3D-printed Glock-style 9mm handgun (fully operational; prohibited)
- 9mm ammunition
- .45 calibre ammunition
- Cell phones
As a result, investigators have charged the man with several firearms-related offences.
