Arrest - ICE Investigation

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Saskatoon man with child exploitation related offences.

In December 2025, the Waskesui RCMP Detachment initiated an investigation into a male being in possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material. The Saskatchewan ICE Unit was requested to assist. An electronic device was seized and examined by ICE investigators.

As a result of the investigation, 30-year old Daylon John Bird of Saskatoon was charged on March 13, 2026 with the following:

Possessing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material

Accessing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material

Bird was released on court-imposed conditions. His next court date is April 6, 2026 at 2:00pm in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
