A man is facing charges after fleeing from police early this morning.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., March 18, 2026, police officers attempted a traffic stop on a blue Chevrolet Silverado at the intersection of 22nd Street West and Confederation Drive, however the driver fled at a high rate of speed. The SPS Air Support Unit was able to locate the vehicle as it left city limits. Members of the Saskatchewan RCMP successfully deployed a tire deflation device near Maymont, SK, and take the suspect into custody.

The 53-year-old male was transported back to SPS Detention and is charged with Evade Police. He was also found to have several outstanding warrants.
