One woman has been arrested following a theft and assault yesterday evening.

At around 7:00 p.m. on March 18, 2026, police were called to a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South for a report of a theft and assault. Upon arrival, it was learned that a woman had been detained by mall security for a theft when she spit in the face of a security guard. Following a search of her person, several items believed to belong to a business in the mall were located.

As a result, the 43-year-old Saskatoon woman was charged with assault and theft under $5000.
