Police are investigating an incident in which a woman was bear sprayed and her phone stolen.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., January 18, 2026, officers were called to an apartment building parking lot in the 3800 block of Fairlight Drive. A 26-year-old woman reported being bear sprayed by a male before he stole her phone and fled. The two had discussed the sale of the phone on social media before meeting.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20’s with braided hair. He was wearing a black sweater with white print and stained grey sweatpants.
