One man has been charged following an investigation by the Guns and Gangs Unit.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on January 24, 2026, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a business in the 700 block of Idylwyld Drive North where they arrested the 45-year-old male suspect in their investigation and made the following evidentiary seizures;

• .40 calibre handgun
• .40 calibre ammunition
• 9 millimetre ammunition
• .233 ammunition
• 2,700 illegal cigarettes
• 15.42 grams of fentanyl
• 0.60 grams of cocaine
• 4.0 grams of methamphetamine

As a result, the accused has been charged with seven drug- and weapons-related offences. A 43-year-old woman was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
