A man is facing a weapons charge after a call for service last night reportedly involved a firearm.

Shortly before 9:00 p.m., January 28, 2026, patrol officers responded to a gas station at 20th Street and Avenue P after a man entered the store and told staff he was being chased by another man with a firearm. Further investigation located the suspect, who was in possession of an expandable baton.

The 21-year-old male is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, and was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
