Members of the Saskatoon Police Service arrested a man who fled from a Corman Park Police Service officer early Friday morning.

On June 5, 2026 at approximately 1:20 a.m., Saskatoon Police received a request for assistance from the Saskatchewan RCMP regarding an incident near Martensville where a vehicle had evaded a Corman Park Police Service member during a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle reportedly fled southbound towards Saskatoon.

The Saskatoon Police Service Air Support Unit (ASU) began monitoring from above and was able to locate the vehicle travelling into Saskatoon at a high rate of speed. The vehicle continued driving in this manner for nearly an hour before coming to a stop in the 100 block of Avenue P South.

Throughout the occurrence, ASU observed the vehicle stop on numerous occasions and drop off passengers.

The lone remaining occupant of the vehicle, the driver, was arrested without further incident. A search of his person incident to arrest resulted in officers locating suspected methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle resulted on officers locating a baton.

As a result, the 31-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving, possession of a weapon, possession of methamphetamine and breaching court-imposed conditions.
