A 14 year old Saskatoon male is facing charges following an incident where bear spray was deployed into an apartment overnight.

At approximately 2:40 a.m., June 11, 2026, Police were called to the residence in the 100 block of Avenue P South. It was reported that two male youth had kicked the door to the suite down before deploying bear spray and setting off a fire extinguisher. The males fled on foot when officers arrived. One male suspect was brought into custody.

The 14 year old is facing charges of Break and Enter, Assault (x2) and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace (x2).

The two 34 year old victims suffered the effects of bear spray.
