One man was arrested and now faces charges following a weapons call early this morning.

On June 15, 2026 at around 3:10 a.m., police received a call for service in the area of 6th Avenue North and King Street reporting that a vehicle had pulled up to an individual and someone in the vehicle had a gun.

Responding officers located a vehicle matching the description near Princess Street and 3rd Avenue North. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted and one of the passengers began to run away; however, a K9 track was conducted and the male was located and arrested shortly after. All remaining occupants of the vehicle were also arrested.

A further search of the vehicle resulted in police locating a can of bear spray.

As a result, a 36-year-old man has been charged with Possession of a Weapon and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions.
