Evade Police/Injured Male - 100 Block Gibson Bend

A 46 year old man is receiving medical treatment following an incident which occurred on the weekend.

At approximately 6:20 p.m. June 20, 2026, an officer was attending a call for service when he was approached by someone reporting a male acting suspiciously in the area of Evergreen Blvd. The person reported the male appeared to by trying to commit self-harm. As the officer arrived on scene he spotted a grey Hyundai Veloster leaving the area. As he followed, the driver began to operate the vehicle in an erratic fashion while waving his hands out the window. The officer along with a second unit, attempted to stop the vehicle, however it continued southbound on McCormand Drive before turning onto Brighton Gate and then into a parking lot in the 100 block of Gibson Bend. Upon arriving, officers spotted the unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot and located the male inside a store, where he was attempting to self-harm. A taser was deployed, allowing officers to provide immediate medical attention.

The male was transported to hospital.
