UPDATE: Charges Laid - Shooting - Louise Street And McEown Avenue

Members of the Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Unit (SAU) have concluded their investigation into the shooting last week in the 10 block of Sturby Place.

Through investigation, police have charged a 15-year-old male youth with Aggravated Assault, Discharging a Firearm in a Reckless Manner, Assault with a Weapon and Mischief Under $5000.

He was scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on June 19, 2026.

Traffic restrictions have been lifted in the area of Louise Street and McEown Avenue following a shooting this morning.

Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.

Traffic restrictions are in place following an early morning shooting.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., June 18, 2026, patrol officers responded to the 10 block of Sturby Place. Upon arrival, police located an injured adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious but non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of investigation, traffic restrictions are in place in the area of Louise Street and McEown Avenue.

Saskatoon Police are continuing to investigate.
